WWA attend Myerscough College Show

On Sunday 8th June 2014, the Westmorland Wildfowlers Association (WWA) combined forces with the Walney Island Wildfowlers AssociatIon (WIWA) at the Myerscough College Country Show & Open Day. The combined clubs presented an impressive display stand on the subject of Wildfowling & Conservation in Morecambe Bay. The stand showed a range of wildfowling and conservation topics , cartridges, decoys, the WWA's Purdey Award, Conservation posters, non toxic shotgun pellets, homeloading equipment, and the WWA's artificial hen house and its resident incubating decoy hen mallard.  Many thanks to all WWA members who manned the stand during the day with the WIWA wildfowler Stephen Thompson. Stotty, Dave Coward, Gordon Harrop, Keith and Dan Sharpe, Keith Howorth, Peter and Tom Cresswell, Kent Sherrington and Mark Eaton did a grand job on the display stand from 7.45am until 5.30pm.  We have been invited back in 2015 as the event organiser was so impressed with the Wildfowling display!!
